"MicroVisions" is an exhibit and auction organized by Irene Gallo and Dan Dos Santos to raise money for the Society of Illustrators' student scholarship fund. Since the first Micro Visions four years ago, they've raised over $20,000.00 for promising illustration students. Naturally I jumped at the opportunity to participate.

Since my head was still wrapped up in Lord of the Rings during this assignment, I couldn't help myself and created another Middle-Earth themed piece. Telchar of Nogrod was the dwarf smithy who forged Narsil, the sword of King Elendil. It was later reforged as Anduril and given to Aragorn, Isildur's heir.
