Back in 2008 several artists were approached to create their interpretations of the Star Wars universe in what would essentially be a Professional Fan Art of Star Wars book. Now, almost two years later, I am excited to be able to share my Obi-Wan Kenobi piece with the good news that a collection of this art, Star Wars: Visions, will be published by Abrams books in Fall 2010, and a limited print of Obi-Wan will be made available through Acme Archives.
My vision for Obi-Wan was to place him at home before the events of Episode IV. He has a quiet life on Tatooine, but never grows complacent, always keeping his lightsaber close at hand knowing that at any moment his solitude might be interrupted with a call to arms against the Empire again.
