Donato Giancola has just released Legends, a portfolio of eight of his most popular and powerful images of imaginary realism. The large 12 x 16 inch prints are elegantly produced on archival, heavy stock paper, and feature the best of Donato's fantasy women from book covers to private commissions to trading card art. This large format wonderfully showcases the high degree of detail Donato brings to each of his paintings.
Donato is the recipient of the past two Hugo Awards for Best Professional Artist from the World Science Fiction Convention. He has also garnered multiple awards for 'The Golden Rose' including the 2007 World Fantasy Convention Best in Show, the 2008 Hamilton King Award from the Society of Illustrators, and as a finalist in the Art Renewal Center's 2007 International Salon. His credits also include six Gold and Silver medals from Spectrum: The Best in Contemporary Fantastic Art.
Sold only as a set of eight, this edition is limited in size to 500 units, with 'The Golden Rose' signed and numbered by Donato. The collection is beautifully contained within a thick butterfly folder case embossed with the Donato Arts logo.
